Williston Northampton Fund Donors Can Support DEIB

;

Those who give to the Williston Northampton Fund can allocate their gift to support specific areas of interest, such as academics, arts, athletics, and financial aid. Beginning this year, donors also have had the opportunity to funnel their investment in the school to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives. In fact, to date, more than 200 donors have contributed over $80,000 in support of our DEIB programming through their gift to the Williston Northampton Fund.

In the 2020-21 academic year, Williston increased its investment in DEIB-related programs and activities by nearly 35 percent over the previous year. This financial commitment will only increase in future years.

Donations to the fund have paid for faculty, staff, and student trainings, and national conferences that broaden perspectives. The fund has enabled the school to bring to campus renowned speakers for workshops and programs including for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Why Not Speak Day.

“We heard from our alumni and friends who wanted to offer financial support for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging efforts at the school,” said Director of Annual Giving Ellie Ballard. “We’ve been so inspired by the generosity of our supporters who are investing in the school’s DEIB initiatives.”

Those wishing to contribute can do so online or by Venmo@WillistonNorthamptonSchool.
