The Williston Northampton boys basketball program has a long and storied tradition dating back to 1898. The team competes at the Class A level in NEPSAC, a nationally recognized league that combines strong academics with highly competitive athletics. The team has enjoyed tremendous success over the years including in 2015 and 2016 when Williston was crowned NEPSAC Class A champions. The core of the team is made up of boys who participate in the program for more than one year. Each year, this group is complemented by a small group of post-graduates. Williston’s basketball program fields four teams seeking to provide a quality basketball experience for boys at each level. Williston is proud of the fact that a number of our graduates go on to compete at the collegiate level. Williston plays in one of the finest facilities in New England. Our basketball players strive to be great representatives of Williston while working hard on and off the court.

Thirds boys basketball finished their season with a win over Bement this morning 57-28. The Wildcats turned it on in the second quarter to pull away from Bement. Leading scorers included Richard Yu_Hwang with 14, Graham Williams with 9, Alex Landon with 8 and Kiran Misra with a career high 6. Other contributions came from Luke Green with 5, Jack Berrien with 4, and Henry Sanders with 7. It was a great way to end a great season!
Thirds boys basketball traveled to Winchendon today to take on a very good squad that beat them handily early in the season. The Wildcats came to play today but despite generating good shots on offense had difficulty finishing trailing by as much as 18 at one point. True to form, the Wildcats refused to go away as they battled right down to the final whistle losing 62-55. The defensive efforts were led by Alex Landon, Jack Berrien, Jackson Miller, Richard Yu-Hwang and Henry Sanders. Additionally Dean Ruksnaitis was tough inside. The Wildcats look forward to their finale next Saturday vs Bement.
Thirds boys basketball took on a much anticipated opponent from Eaglebrook this afternoon at the CAC. The Eagles defeated the Wildcats earlier this winter. The first three quarters of this contest witnessed the Wildcats playing from behind against a scrappy EBS team. Eaglebrook's lead got as big as 14 before the ever determined Wildcats clawed their way back in. When the game's momentum swung in favor of the home team, Eaglebrook was unable to respond. The final score was Williston 45 Eaglebrook 36. The Wildcats were led by Beckett Collins with 18, Jack Berrien and Richard Yu-Hwang with 11 and Graham Williams with 4. It was an awesome team win!
Thirds boys green team stayed undefeated with a decisive 37-17 win over Rectory at home. It was a total team effort. 8 boys scored led by Jack Berrien's 12, Sabir Hussain's 5 and Jackson Miller's 5. Finn Carswell hit a three to bring the crowd to their feet and Ken Machida stood out on defense.
Thirds boys basketball upped its record to 7-6 with an exciting road win at Deerfield 37-35. Beckett Collins led the way with 14 followed by Richard Yu-Hwang with 8 and Alex Landon with 7. A great team win!
Thirds boys blue basketball rallied from a 14 point deficit to earn a hard fought 43-39 win over KO. Beckett Collins led the way with 14 points followed by Alex Landon with 9 and Jack Berrien with 6. It was a great team effort!
Thirds boys basketball took on Loomis today at home and came up on the short end 45-28. The Wildcats missed some early shots and never quite found their "mojo" in this one thanks to the efforts of a determined Pelican squad. The boys will regroup and get ready for KO next Wednesday!
Thirds boys blue basketball lost their first game in 2023 with a hard fought 42-38 game vs Eaglebrook. Richard Yu-Hwang and Jack Berrien had 11 and 10 points apiece to lead the scoring. The team looks forward to the rematch in February!
Thirds boys basketball's green team traveled to Rectory where it defeated the host team 35-21. It was a great team effort. Sabir Hussain led the offense with 8 points including 6 free throws. Tristan Kokoszka and Diego Reyes Rodriguez led a strong defensive effort.
Thirds boys basketball started their day with a 10 am tilt with local rival Bement. The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead and despite the efforts of Bement were able to hold on for a 30-24 victory. Bement tied it up in the second half but Ryan Brooks made some timely baskets to preserve the win. Luke Green also made a big basket. Overall, it was a great team effort with contributions from up and down the lineup!
Thirds boys hoops jumps out to an early lead over rival Suffield and never looks back running away with it 47-25! All told, 11 Wildcats entered the scoring column led by Beckett Collins with 14, Jack Berrien with 7 and Richard Yu-Hwang with 6. A terrific team win!
Thirds boys basketball avenged a December loss by turning the tables on Berkshire 40-28. Beckett Collins led the way with 15 followed by Jack Berrien and Alex Landon with 6. A terrific team effort!
Boys thirds basketball earned a comeback for the ages yesterday when they found themselves down 19-0 at the half. In the second half they found their offensive game and slowly but surely continued to close the gap before finally taking the lead 24-23 in the final seconds. It was a tremendous effort by a team that refused to lose. The Wildcats were led by Jackson Ayres with 10 points and Sabir Hussain with 9.
Thirds boys basketball lost to Winchendon's JV team today at home 45-22. The Wildcats gave it their all but the basketball gods were not kind to them. Richard Yu-Hwang, Jack Berrien and Alex Landon led the team in scoring.
Thirds boys basketball mounted a valiant comeback that just fell short losing 48-45 to Cheshire. Beckett Collins and Richard Hu-Yuwang led the way with 12 apiece.
Thirds boys basketball traveled to Worcester Academy where it battled hard but came up short to a talented Hilltopper team 60-33. Despite the loss, the team demonstrated strong improvement in several areas. Richard Yu-Hwang led the way with 10 followed by Beckett Collins with 9 and Graham Williams with 6.
