Jennifer Acker, the third presenter in this year’s Writers’ Workshop Series, joins us December 3 on campus. Ms. Acker is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Common, a literary magazine that explores the “modern sense of place.” She is a translator and a writer, with multiple published works, including a forthcoming Amazon Original Story and a novel called The Limits of the World (both out in 2019).
Her short stories, translations, and essays have appeared in The Washington Post, Guernica, n+1, Ploughshares, The Journal, The Literary Review, Ascent, Sonora Review, Harper’s, The Millions, The New Inquiry, and Publishers Weekly, among other places. She holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars, and teaches literature, creative writing, and editing at Amherst College.
