Williston Honors Four Working Artists

Four students were recognized for their excellence and hard work in the arts during a recent assembly.

Dalina Nguyen ’21 for AP Studio Art
Since day one, Dalina has shown consistency in the quality of her work and ability to manage her time. She carefully and thoughtfully creates each work of art in order for deep concepts to come through to her viewers.

Adam Johnsrud ’20 for Chorus
Adam has returned to singing his senior year after first participating in Middle School chorus. Adam works every day to improve his vocal tone and music literacy skills. He consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, great effort, and encourages his classmates to do the same. Adam takes risks when singing and finds ways to make us all smile and laugh. He is a leader on our team.

Brie Banas ’20 for Theater
Brie (pictured above, second from right) came to rehearsal every day prepared and ready to challenge herself. She led our team by being a fearless risk-taker, and a consistent support to every member of our cast. When we needed her most, to choreograph a show-stopping dance number, she worked tirelessly to create and teach this to our cast.

Zach Demetriou ’21 for Theater
As Stage Manager, Zach consistently helped make our rehearsal and performance space both safe for artistic risk-taking and organized. They helped us bring the world of the play to life through calling the light and sound cues brilliantly.
