What advice would you give to a girl graduating from Williston today?
We are constantly evolving. Be open to it; welcome it and give yourself grace as you learn, grow, and progress.
Tell us about a woman who is your hero and why?
Issa Rae! She is incredibly dynamic, creative, and authentic. I have followed her from her web series, “Awkward Black Girl” to her HBO show, “Insecure.” Seeing the impact of Issa Rae’s work grow over time while staying true to herself is inspirational, to say the least.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Remember the journey that brought me to my present stopping point. It is evidence that I am capable and a reminder that there is better ahead.
