What advice would you give to a girl graduating from Williston today?

While there are so many lessons learned from others or through experience over the years, I think I would tell them…. to believe in themselves, always be willing to listen and learn from others, find a passion and pursue it, and never be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. All of that should help strengthen their foundation to help them succeed no matter what path they take.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Be ready to pivot. Be flexible—with our ever-changing environments, be nimble. While you may have a plan, know it could change due to circumstances out of your control. Be prepared to shift what you are doing to adapt to the situation ahead to help you and your team succeed, move business forward or change the narrative.

Ask questions—it’s always better to ask questions now that will help a project/situation (at school, work or home) instead of being afraid to ask and creating complications down the line.
