Arts Concentration

Pursuing their Passion

Williston students who are deeply committed to the arts may elect to pursue either a Visual Arts Concentration or a Performing Arts Concentration (or both!). Students in all arts disciplines work with arts faculty mentors to establish individual programs of study, including completion of a self-directed project executed during a Williston Scholars course. The Concentrations have extracurricular components, and activities students participate in over the summer may count towards the completion of a Concentration.

The Arts Concentration distinction is indicated on school transcripts when applying to colleges and is an excellent way to emphasize to colleges a student’s serious commitment to the arts.

Students who complete the Arts Concentration do not have to be art school applicants or want to pursue a career in the arts.
