Meghann Treacy ’11

A four-year boarder from Lake Peekskill, New York, Meghann Treacy was a three-sport standout at Williston in field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse. Playing in the field for Hall of Fame Coach Ann Pickrell in the fall, Meghann was a four-year letter winner on the field hockey team and captain in both her junior and senior years while helping lead the team to numerous postseason appearances. A standout goaltender in ice hockey playing for Coach Christa Talbot Syfu ’98, she was a four-year letter winner that captained the team and won MVP honors in her junior and senior seasons. She was also named to the NEPSAC all-star team. In the spring playing for Coach Jen Fulcher, Meghann was back in goal, serving as an outstanding goalie during a historic four-year run in the program. She currently holds the school record for the most saves in a career. Among other recognitions, she was the team MVP during her junior year when the team went undefeated. During her lacrosse career, the team had a remarkable record of 42-2—including two undefeated seasons! Meghann continued her success on the collegiate level, playing in Hockey East for the University of Maine where her name is sprinkled all over their record book, including for a save percentage of .930 and a First Team Hockey East selection during the 2014-15 season. She finished her hockey career coaching at the collegiate level for three years at Colby College. After hearing the outstanding accomplishments of Abby and Meghann, it is no wonder that these two very accomplished athletes shared the Alumnae Bowl given to the top senior girl athlete at the end of their senior year. It is also very easy to see why Meghann is being inducted to Williston’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
