A six-year day student, Abby Hatch was one of the truly outstanding three-sport athletes during her era at Williston, excelling in soccer, squash, and lacrosse—captaining all three teams as a senior. In the fall, Abby lettered for four years in soccer serving as team captain as a senior while also earning most valuable player and all-league honors as a standout midfielder. In the winter she demonstrated her exceptional athleticism and competitiveness by picking up a new sport—squash—and captaining the team as a senior while earning the Sportsmanship Award. In the spring, Abby played lacrosse for Coach Jen Fulcher during one of the most successful team runs in our school’s long athletic history, serving as a key contributor to back-to-back undefeated lacrosse teams in 2008 and 2009. During her lacrosse career, her teams had a remarkable record of 42-2. She captained the team as a senior while being awarded the Davis Award for her overall contribution to the program. At the end of her senior year, she was one of two senior girls (along with fellow inductee Meghann Treacy ’16!) who shared the Alumnae Bowl recognizing their leadership and overall contributions to the athletic program. Following her graduation, Abby went on to compete in both soccer and lacrosse at Colby College, earning Division III All-American honors in lacrosse in 2015. These accolades are more than worth of a spot in the Hall of Fame, and we’re proud to etch Abby’s place in Williston history.
