Faux Pas Français

The Scholar: Dionysus (Sako) Lively

The Project: Faux Pas Français

The Essential Question: “For my project, I interviewed four different people who studied abroad and produced a podcast episode for each interview. The goal of my project was to discuss and share different experiences with studying abroad with people hoping to do so. The interviews were also conducted in French, as the target audience of Faux Pas Français is intermediate to advanced French learners; this is because they can understand my podcast with provided transcripts and be immersed in the French language.

Surprising Discovery: I was most surprised about how fun it was to record and edit the episodes of my podcast. Thanks to months of preparation, I truly enjoyed the last couple weeks of my project and it was awesome to see my work culminate into the final product.

Biggest Challenge: My biggest challenge was completing the different phases of my project in a timely manner. I often relied on Ms. Michalski to get me back on track, though she did enable me to complete my project to the extent that I envisioned.

Tip for future scholars: You must space out your work and ensure that you are always on track. When you fall behind you must take the necessary steps to get back on schedule and doing so will allow you to complete a successful project.
