As a senior, Archer won the Denman award, given to the top senior athlete, and was named Frank Dorsey Most Valuable Player for his performance in the position of midfielder for lacrosse. For many years Archer coached youth hockey, and today still plays adult ice hockey as the oldest member of his team, leading them to the league championship four out of the last five years.

Arch is a cinematographer and has a captain’s license, and he and his wife Jeanne have sailed around the world. They live on the Thames River in Gales Ferry, Connecticut.
