Commonly referred to as the community garden, Williston Northampton School’s Outdoor Learning Lab is a space on Brewster Avenue behind Logan House that is shared by classes, clubs and interested members of the community. The Outdoor Learning Lab is a place to explore, experiment, engage, and enjoy the fruits of our collective labor.
The vision for this school garden is to grow our understanding of where our food comes from and to explore techniques for growing food that restores, rather than harms, the environment.
Here are a few guidelines to keep this space a productive place of belonging:
- Ask permission of the grower before you help yourself to produce other than what you planted.
- Keep this garden space free of synthetic chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, etc.) by using regenerative practices.
- The gate opens into the garden space. Please close the gate behind you.
- For health reasons, no dogs, please. (State law for school gardens)
