For the first time in five seasons, the Williston Northampton Varsity Boys Lacrosse team took home the Colonial Tournament championship.
Playing over the weekend at Pomfret School, the No. 2 Wildcats took down No. 3 Frederick Gunn School in the semifinals, then beat No. 1-seed and tournament host in the championship game.
In the final, Pomfret tied the game up at 9-9 in the fourth quarter, before the Wildcats pulled away for an 11-9 win. Williston’s win over Pomfret also reversed a result from the regular season, when Pomfret won 10-8.
Joseph Killcommons ’25 was named the Most Valuable Player for the tournament, and played a key role in both wins for the Wildcats.
For the year, the Wildcats finished with a 7-8 record.
