Athletes of the Week

Introducing our Athletes of the Week program! Each week, Williston coaches nominate one student-athlete from their team who stood out by demonstrating our core values of purpose, passion, and integrity. These athletes show exceptional dedication, leadership, and sportsmanship, both on and off the field, embodying what it means to be a Williston Wildcat. Read below for more information on each of the Athletes of the Week.

Luke Amanti ’31 – Boys Fourths Basketball

Luke has shown a consistent effort in practices and games all year long. He is extremely coachable and leads by example. In recent games, Luke has been one of the team’s top defenders, whether he was playing man-to-man on the other team’s best shooter or whether he was at the top of the zone putting pressure on the other teams’ perimeter players. He brings a positive attitude each day.

Juliana Eichenlaub ’28 – Girls Varsity Basketball

Jules has provided a spark for the Wildcats all season long.  Her outstanding defense and clutch outside shooting have helped propel Williston to its current five-game win streak.  In practice, Juliana can always be counted on to work hard, communicate, and give 100% effort. This translates into outstanding play on game day, with Jules able to seamlessly run any position on the court.  Juliana’s growing skill and confidence have been a big part Williston’s improvement during the course of the season, and we’re excited to see her continued development in the remainder of this season and beyond!

Brenna Ziter ’26 – Girls Varsity Hockey

Brenna Ziter, a four-year valued member of the team, had a strong week before the break, recording a goal and an assist in an 8–0 win over Hotchkiss and adding three assists in a 6–0 win over Taft. Brenna has excellent offensive instincts and has consistently done a great job getting pucks to the net all season. Equally important, she is fully committed to playing strong defense—reading plays well, serving as the third player high, and backchecking hard all the way to the goal line. Brenna has also been a key contributor on special teams, killing penalties and creating offense on the power play. A strong member of the senior class, we look forward to her continued contributions to the team for the remainder of the season.

Riley Platt ’27 – Girls JV Hockey

As one of the captains of Girls JV Hockey this season, Riley leads in countless ways through her actions and attitude. She brings determination to every practice, consistently pushing herself to get better and challenging herself to try new things. That hard work is showing up in both practices and games. Riley is dependable and versatile, able to step into any position and rise to the moment whenever and wherever the team needs her. Her commitment, growth, and leadership make her an invaluable part of this group.

Cayden Kim ’28 – Boys JV Squash

Cayden is a pleasure to coach. He is liked by everyone on the team. His open and pleasant character has helped establish a great atmosphere in our team this year. Cayden played a great match against Suffield last week, helping the team secure a victory against a team that is always a challenge. Cayden’s work ethic is clearly paying off. Through consistent effort and commitment, he has made significant improvements in his volleying, taking the ball early and applying real pressure. He now hits with much better depth to the back of the court, controlling rallies and creating space. His ability to alternate intelligently between powerful drives and well-disguised drop shots shows growing tactical awareness and confidence. Overall, a strong example of how hard work is translating into clear, measurable progress on court.
