Introducing our Athletes of the Week program! Each week, Williston coaches nominate one student-athlete from their team who stood out by demonstrating our core values of purpose, passion, and integrity. These athletes show exceptional dedication, leadership, and sportsmanship, both on and off the field, embodying what it means to be a Williston Wildcat. Read below for more information on each of the Athletes of the Week.
Chris Doubleday ’25-Boys Varsity Cross Country
Chris, a team captain, had a tremendous race this past weekend at the Northfield Mount Hermon School’s invitational. Chris took nearly 30 seconds off his time from the previous week on the same course by adjusting his race strategy and decreasing his pace through the first mile and then increasing his pace in the second half of the course. Chris has shown great leadership this fall as he encourages all the boys in the program to work hard and have fun in the process. His coaches are appreciative of the positive example he sets for his teammates and look forward to watching his continued progress as the season moves forward.
Noah Lehane ’28- Boys JV Cross Country
Noah made significant improvement in his time this past weekend at the Northfield Mount Herman School Invitational. Noah decreased his time by nearly 2:00 minutes from the week before. He continues to work hard in practice and brings a positive attitude to every workout. His coaches are very excited that Noah’s hard work is paying off and they look forward to having Noah in the program for several more years.

On the ground he rushed four times, three of which were for touchdowns, for a total of 30 yards. His coaches and teammates will continue to look towards Davi for his strong play and positive leadership as they work through the remainder of the season.

On defense, Rowan contributed 2 tackles and proved to be a leader on the field in every phase of the game.
Maggie Fay ’25- Varsity Field Hockey
Maggie Fay has been the back anchor to the team through the first month of the season. Armed with an incredible sense of humor and a dedicated work ethic, Maggie has improved her skills each day by pushing herself and asking questions. She has made key stops from the opposing team’s long drives, while consistently remaining calm and composed, which has led the team to transition quickly to offense. Maggie has also stepped up on defensive corners, denying shots and not allowing her opponent to move towards the net. Her coaches and teammates cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for Maggie!
Alicia Lindinger ’26- JV Field Hockey
Alicia had a stand-out performance in the Wildcats home opener against Bement this past Wednesday. Though Alicia is brand new to field hockey, she has already shown great aptitude for the sport, and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Alicia positioned herself on the post during a Williston breakaway and was able to redirect the ball into the cage for the team’s very first goal of the season. Alicia shows great promise as a field hockey player, and her coaches and teammates look forward to seeing all that she’ll accomplish over the course of the season.
Maks Zebic ’25- Boys Varsity Soccer
Maks, a senior captain, has demonstrated strong leadership in net this fall. He has helped the Wildcats remain competitive in important games with big saves, and he has been an effective leader off the field by maintaining high team standards. The Zagreb native conceded just one goal in the last three games, helping the Wildcats to a three-game undefeated run where they outscored their opponents by a 3:1 goal ratio. Maks and his teammates are preparing for two crucial Class B games this week as they host Westminster and Millbrook.
Reece Berrien ’27- Boys JVA Soccer
Reece has been a stalwart defender for boys JVA soccer. A quiet leader off the pitch, and a force to be reckoned with on it, Reece has been a huge part of the team’s success so far defensively, having played almost every minute of every game. He has been especially impressive carrying the ball out of the backfield to initiate offense, while also being reliable in terms of eliminating counterattacks. In the Wildcat’s recent game against Loomis, the team experimented with him playing further forward. His presence helped the team get a foothold in the game and contributed to a winning second half. He has been a pivotal cog in our team and will continue to be so.
Sam Dietrich ’27- Boys JVB Soccer
Sam has consistently improved his skills and abilities on the field since the start of the season. As a forward, he has dominated the opponent’s defense in every game. Sam has scored all six goals for the JVB team in the first three games, including a hat trick during last Wednesday’s game against Salisbury. Sam also works well during practice and gets everybody involved during the drills and scrimmages. His coaches look forward to his continued growth and success as the season progresses.
Scarlette Graybill ’26 – Varsity Girls Soccer
Scarlette was an offensive force for girls varsity soccer this week, against Hotchkiss and WMA. She was fast, hardworking, and never gave up. Most of the teams scoring opportunities came from Scarlette putting pressure on their defense, forcing them to lose possession. She is gritty and competitive and is not scared to battle for the ball. She received Player of the Game from her teammates on Saturday for her hard work and grit, as she dug deep to score the game winning goal. Her Coaches look forward to seeing what else Scarlette can accomplish this season and they appreciate all the effort she brings each time she steps on the field!
Hazel Jacobs ’25- Varsity Volleyball
As our starting libero, Hazel is the floor general. Her vocal presence on the court is perhaps one of her biggest strengths and contributions to the team. She has high expectations for herself and for the team, with a great deal of drive to be the best. Hazel’s skills as a libero have improved tremendously, moving with ease on serve receive and playing defense with ferocious tenacity. Her positive leadership continues to grow. Hazel’s coaches and teammates feel lucky to have her as captain and integral member of the varsity squad.
Rachel Xing ’29- JV Volleyball
Rachel had an outstanding performance on the court this week as she truly stood out.
