Honoring a Legacy: The Raymond L. Brown ’55 Scholarship Fund
In June 2025 on the occasion of Ray Brown ’55’s 70th Reunion, Williston announced the creation of the Raymond L. Brown ’55 Scholarship Fund in his honor with the enthusiastic support of his family: Cathleen C. Robinson (former faculty ’74-’01), Karen Brown Golding ’81, and Amy Brown ’84. This newly endowed scholarship celebrates the legacy of Ray—an inspiring educator, coach, and mentor whose more than 40 years of service left a lasting impact on the Williston Northampton School community. Your gift will support deserving students who embody the values Ray championed: curiosity, leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to personal growth. You may also contribute any memories or messages you’d like to share about Ray.
A Legacy of Leadership
After graduating from Williston as a one-year PG, it was only four short years before Ray returned to the place that became his home as he embarked on a long career as an educator, coach, and mentor. If you encountered him in the classroom where he taught Physics and Math, or played for him on the soccer field, basketball court, or baseball diamond, you may remember his tireless commitment to fostering both academic and athletic excellence. Ray’s legacy has left an indelible mark on our school and community.
