Williston was one of the first schools in the prep circuit to offer girls hockey, launching the program in 1983. Competing in NEPSAC Division I, the team plays a highly competitive 28-game schedule that includes two prestigious holiday tournaments and regular matchups against many of the top prep programs in New England, such as Nobles, Tabor, Loomis, St. Paul’s, and Andover.
The program has seen tremendous success in recent years, including fifteen consecutive postseason appearances. Williston was a NEPSAC Finalist in 2024 and captured back-to-back Chuck Vernon Elite Tournament championships in 2022 and 2023. Over the past decade, the Wildcats have compiled an impressive overall record of 191-29-14.
Williston fields two girls hockey teams, providing a high-quality experience for players at both levels. The program is proud of its tradition of excellence and player recognition. In the 2024–25 season, Olivia Ferbee ’25 and Nora Curtis ’25 were named to the NEPSAC Division I All-Star First Team, while Violet Carroll ’25 and Alyssa Frazier ’25 earned Honorable Mention honors.
Williston also celebrates individual milestones, with ten players in program history surpassing 100 career points. This season, both Curtis and Carroll reached that benchmark, finishing their careers with 120 and 119 points, respectively.
The Wildcats play their home games at Lossone Arena, one of the premier prep hockey venues in New England. The program benefits from top-tier facilities, including a renovated locker room (completed in 2022) and a newly added shooting room (opened in 2023).
Williston is equally proud of its tradition of developing student-athletes who continue their careers at the collegiate level. In the 2025–26 season, 21 alumnae will be playing NCAA hockey across both Division I and III, at schools such as Amherst, Bowdoin, Brown, Colby, Cornell, Holy Cross, Middlebury, Northeastern and Syracuse.
The Williston girls hockey program takes great pride in representing the school with excellence, sportsmanship, and a commitment to hard work—both on and off the ice.
