Squash has been a varsity sport at Williston since 1954. Williston’s squash facility consists of four International courts. The premier gallery court #1 also sports both a glass back and sidewall in order to facilitate larger spectator assemblies while also providing greatly enhanced viewing of this wonderful game. The squash program fields three teams seeking to provide a quality experience for all participants. Over the years, a number of graduates have gone on to compete on the collegiate level.

Great day for Williston JV squash! Summary of matches: official score: Williston 5- Suffield 2. If we count all the matches: Williston 11-Suffield 2. The JV boys team is showing tremendous improvement. The players showed that they are getting better at dominating the T in the court. There is a clear effort in the part of most of our players to get back to the T after hitting. We are also getting better at hitting deeper towards the back of the court. Players that won matches: Liam Barry, Sebastian Enriquez, Connor Graff, Julian Barthels Thiel, Zach Pincus, Noah Comrie, Bryce Akroyd, Shane Sexton, Tyler Yunes, and special shout out to Bennet Evelti who won two matches today!
JV boys squash had a great match at home against rival Suffield winning handily 8-2. Zach Pincus, Shane Sexton, Noah Comrie, Tyler Yunes, Bennett Evelti and Bryce Akroyd won their matches comfortably with marked improvement in their drop shots and down the line shots. Seth O'Donnell had a big win outlasting his opponent to win 3-2. Connor Graff and Julian Bartels Thiel lost their matches but played good competitive games. Paul Wang was the Athlete of the Week rallying from down 0-2 to win 3-2. Paul kept his composure and made a ton of great shots during his epic comeback. Overall it was a great day to be a Wildcat!
Williston battled Berkshire but came up short 4-7. Williston played well but made too many unforced errors, especially when it came to shot placement, returns and serves. Seth O’Donnell, Noah Comrie, Tyler Yunes, and Bryce Akroyd, won their matches and did a great job at shot placement and positioning on the court. Given the youth of these players, there is a bright future ahead for the squash program.
