Alison arrived at Williston in the fall of ’97 and immediately made her presence felt on the soccer field scoring 11 goals helping her team win 10 games and earn a bid to the postseason tournament. As a senior, her impact continued as she scored a school record 15 more goals helping her team return to the tournament. All told, Alison scored 26 goals in two years setting schools records for both goals and assists in a season. She finished with a remarkable 67 points in two years! In the winter, she headed over to Lossone where she demonstrated her versatility as an athlete competing on our varsity hockey team. In the spring, Alison competed in track and field specializing in the 400 and 800 meter races. Earning MVP honors as a junior, she set school records in both events. The 800 record stood for 23 years until the spring of 2023!! Amazingly, the 400 record of 57.7 still stands today – 25 years later! After graduating from Williston, Allison attended Wheaton College where she became a two time All American – second team as a freshman and first team as sophomore leading the Lyons to their first ever NCAA tournament while setting school records for goals in a season with 22 and points with 58. She finished her career playing at Division 1 Villanova. Without question, Alison Bimba was one of the truly outstanding athletes during her era at Williston.
