Varsity Girls Hockey Coach Christa Talbot Syfu ’98 recently sat down for a podcast interview with the collegiate recruiting app Champs, dishing out on a variety topics from her days as a prep hockey player, to the current landscape of NEPSAC hockey.
Talbot Syfu, who joined the girls hockey program when she returned to campus in 2003 before taking over in 2004, has worked in a host of roles at the school during her tenure, including her current work in the admissions office. With all of her expertise, Talbot Syfu gave host Ray Tenebaum unique insight into life as a prep hockey player.
The interview is available wherever your listen to your favorite podcasts, including Apple and Spotify. The interview is also available to watch on YouTube.
The podcast goes for over 30 minutes so there are plenty of choice moments, but Talbot Syfu best summed up her path from Williston student to Williston coach by saying: “It’s been a really terrific experience to live back where I really started figuring out who I was. … It’s been a tremendous 20 years, and as the head coach of the program for 19 years I’m really proud of the experience our kids have here.”
