Four Williston Northampton teams are competing in New England Preparatory School Athletic Council tournaments or championships this week—and all four will play a portion of their postseason schedule at their home venues. The Williston boys and girls swimming and diving teams are competing in the NEPSAC Championships starting Wednesday, when we host the diving portion of the Division II meet, and wrapping up Saturday. The boys basketball team is the No. 1 seed in the NEPSAC Class A tournament, while the girls hockey team is the No. 1 seed in the Chuck Vernon Elite Division tournament and is looking to make a fourth straight championship game. Boys Basketball

After a stellar regular season, the Wildcats earned the No. 1 seed in the Class A tournament and a home game in the quarterfinals and, potentially, the semifinals. In the quarterfinals, the Wildcats will face No. 8 St. Paul’s School in a rematch of a game from February 14, which the Wildcats won on their home court, 83-76. In the other quarterfinal on Williston’s side of the bracket, No. 4 Choate Rosemary Hall hosts No. 5 Dexter Southfield School. No. 2 Phillips Exeter Academy, No. 3 Tabor Academy, No. 6 Loomis Chaffee and No. 7 Milton Academy round out the bracket.

If the Wildcats advance, they will play in a home game on Saturday. The Class A championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9, at 4:30 p.m. at Suffield Academy.

The girls hockey team enters the Chuck Vernon Elite Division bracket as the No. 1 seed for the third year in a row, and is looking to make its fourth-straight championship game. Williston won the Elite Division in 2022 and 2023. The perennial powerhouse starts its tournament journey on Wednesday at home against No. 8 Groton School. The two teams did not meet in the regular season. In the other game on Williston’s side of the bracket, No. 4 Noble and Greenough hosts No. 5 Phillips Andover. In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 Loomis Chaffee hosts No. 7 Cushing Academy, and No. 3 Dexter Southfield School hosts No. 6 Buckingham Browne & Nichols.

The winners of the two games will meet on Saturday, and should the Wildcats win, that game will also be at Lossone Rink. The Elite Division championship game is set for Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. at Taft School.
