Boys and Girls Teams Swim to Twin Undefeated Seasons

;

In a historic end to a monumental season, both the boys and girls swimming and diving teams have gone undefeated, a first in Williston Northampton School’s storied swimming and diving program.

In truth, the teams have been heading in this direction over the past few years, according to coach David Koritkoski. During the 2019-20 season, both the boys and the girls finished with records of 8-0, picking up big wins against teams like NMH, Westminster, and Kent. Of special note, the girls program has completed their third straight undefeated season and have run their win streak to an incredible 29-0, losing their last meet in February of 2017. The boys are riding a 10-meet win streak reaching back to February 2019.

Both teams are preparing for a championship season as they look forward to the Wilmot Babcock Invitational at Williston on February 28 and 29, and the season-ending NEPSAC Division 2 Championships at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, VT, on Saturday, March 7.

“To have two swimming and diving teams go undefeated in the same season is a historic accomplishment in the rich annals of Williston swim history!” said Director of Athletics Mark Conroy. “It’s been a remarkable season for a terrific group of coaches and student athletes!”

We’re cheering you on, swimmers and divers! Go Wildcats!
