What advice would you give to a girl graduating from Williston today?
Take the time to celebrate your accomplishments. We can get so caught up in setting the next horizon to the detriment of enjoying the view from where we currently stand.
What motivates you in your work and life?
I continue to be motivated by the sacrifices my mother made in emigrating from Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire to Amherst, Massachusetts in search of her “American Dream.” I am shaped by this experience and recognize the enormous freedom and opportunity I have been given to build my life and career as I see fit.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Take care to not be overly self-critical; if you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else?
