Michael Downey ’28 – Boys JV Baseball

Michael threw a no-hitter against Berkshire on Wednesday, striking out nine and allowing only one baserunner. Beyond his dominance on the mound, he has been a steady presence in the outfield and a consistent contributor at the plate. Michael’s hard work, understanding of the game, and competitive spirit have made him an important part of the team and a key player for the future of Williston baseball.

Ava Carr ’28 – Girls Varsity Golf
Ava has been a key contributor for the Varsity Girls Golf Team this spring. Last week, she notched a 2 & 1 victory over Taft and added a 4 & 3 win against Miss Porter’s, helping secure two valuable points for Williston. Her mental toughness and steady play under pressure have stood out, and her scoring average ranks second on the team over the last two matches. With several matches left and the NEPSAC tournament ahead, Ava is poised for a strong finish to the season.

Anderson DeLuca ’27 – Boys JV Lacrosse
Anderson has been a versatile and impactful member of the JV boys lacrosse team. Though he began the season as a long pole, he picked up a short stick last week and contributed key goals in a comeback win over Eaglebrook. His ability to switch between roles mid-game demonstrates his skill, energy, and adaptability. Anderson continues to lead by example on the field, showing both grit and composure.

Hannah Rezendes ’28 – Girls JV A Lacrosse
Hannah has been a standout midfielder and consistent scorer throughout the season. Her multiple-goal efforts in every game — including a crucial performance in the team’s win over Westminster — reflect her relentless work ethic and strong field presence. Hannah’s commitment to improving her game inspires her teammates, and we’re excited to see her continued growth as the season progresses.

Alyssa Frazier ’25 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse
Alyssa has been a steady presence on defense, stepping up in key moments for the Wildcats. In a competitive week featuring a tough loss to Deerfield and an exciting win over Loomis, she played strong 1v1 defense and contributed significantly to the team’s clearing game. Alyssa often carries the ball upfield with confidence and vision, setting up her teammates in transition. Her accountability and strong work ethic have been vital to the team’s success this season.

Maggie Fay ’25 – Varsity Softball
Maggie played a pivotal role in the team’s three victories last week, including a standout performance in the 4-1 win over undefeated league rival Cushing. She struck out three and issued no walks in that game, while also going 2-for-4 and striking out five batters in an 8-7 comeback win over Worcester Academy. A dedicated leader and captain, Maggie brings consistency and guidance to practice and competition alike.

Douglas Warner ’26 – Boys Varsity Tennis
Douglas “The Terminator” Warner has quickly earned his reputation as a relentless and consistent force on the court. Known for his tireless play and court coverage, Douglas frustrates opponents by returning shots few others could reach. He’s risen to #4 on the team ladder through focus, speed, and competitive drive. A favorite hitting partner in practice, Douglas brings intensity, humor, and sportsmanship to every match.

Eliza DeCaro ’29 – Girls JV Tennis
Eliza has been a strong competitor for the Girls JV Tennis team, holding down the number one singles spot with enthusiasm and determination. Though she fell short in a close match against Westminster, she displayed solid groundstrokes and excellent rally control. Eliza’s passion for the sport is evident, and her steady improvement and positive attitude are making a real impact on the team.

Jack Nolan ’26 – Boys Track & Field
Jack has been a consistent and reliable performer for the boys track and field team. At the Hunt Relays, he ran a leg of the school-record-setting 4×400 relay, and he followed that with a personal best in the 300m hurdles at NMH. Always willing to step into events as needed, including a last-minute leg of the 4×100, Jack’s work ethic and team-first mentality have made him an invaluable contributor this season.

Zola Piekarski ’26 – Girls Track & Field
Zola’s initiative, resilience, and team spirit have shone through this season. Last week, she set personal records in both the 200m (30.32) and 400m (1:10.94) while also jumping into the 4×100 and 4×400 relays without hesitation. As a new member of the team, her enthusiasm and dedication have made a powerful impression, and she continues to be a rising star in the program.

Juno Aselton ’25– Girls Varsity Water Polo
Juno has been a dynamic leader for the Girls Varsity Water Polo team, setting the tone with her energy, effort, and dual-threat ability in goal and the field. In a landmark win over Andover, Juno scored six goals and made six saves to hand the opponent their first loss of the season. Her unique versatility and leadership continue to inspire the younger players as the team builds momentum for the second half of the season.
