During the summer we welcome a large group of young people to our campus to attend a variety of summer programs including sports camps, performing arts programs, and photography classes.

Williston Sports Camps for Summer 2024

Baseball Clinic

Williston Baseball Coach Matt Sawyer, along with Williston players, will be running two baseball clinics for 10-14 year olds at Galbraith Fields on the Williston Northampton campus.

  • About the Williston Baseball Clinic

    From Monday, June 24 through Thursday, June 27, and from Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11, Williston Baseball Coach Matt Sawyer, along with Williston varsity players, will be running two baseball clinics for 10-14 year olds at Galbraith Fields on the Williston Northampton Campus. The clinics will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. The fundamentals of throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting will be covered each day. There will be opportunities for pitchers and catchers to get instruction in those particular positions as well. 12-14 year old players will get to work on the 60/90 diamond. High level baseball thinking and game strategy will be covered as players will have theopportunity to compete each day in short games. The cost of a week of clinics be $220.00 per player. There are discounts available for multiple participants from the same family; check in with Coach Sawyer about those discounts.

    There will be a cap at 30 players for each session so that each player can receive lots of personal instruction from coaches.

    Matt Sawyer played outfield at Amherst College and has been the head coach at Williston for the past 30 years. Williston players like Colin Larson ’24 and Hudson Fulcher-Melendy ’24 will help coach at this year’s clinics. Colin was a First Team All-League player last season. He will play college baseball at Boston College. Hudson was also a FirstTeam All-League player in 2023 and will play college baseball at Amherst College. They follow in the footsteps of other Williston players who have worked these clinics: Erik Ostberg ’14, :Milwaukee Milkmen;Justin Frometa ’16, Portland Sea Dogs Coach; Ian Ostberg ’17, captain of Quinnipiac University; and Will Sawyer ’22, Trinity College.

     

    Galbraith Fields on the Williston campus features a batting cage, a smaller, skin infield, a 60/90 field, and lots of space for drill work. Each participant will receive a clinic t-shirt.Lunch will NOT be provided.

Flag Football

From Monday, July 15th through Thursday, July 18th, and from Monday, July 22nd through Thursday, July 25th, Williston Football Coach Tommy Beaton, along with current Williston Football assistant coaches and players, will be running two football clinics for 7-14 year olds at Sawyer Field on the Williston Northampton campus.  The clinics will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. Our experienced staff members will help each camper learn the fundamentals while assisting them in developing their skills using proper techniques. Offensive and defensive position drills follow proper stretching and warm-ups each day, along with fun football competitions. Campers will then apply what they’ve learned earlier in the day and bring it to the field for exciting flag football games. A great opportunity for young athletes of all levels looking to improve their game, have fun, make new friends, and raise their confidence.
