Bio:
I’m joining Williston as a math and science teacher, teaching geometry and physics. I have been teaching for over a decade in a variety of roles, largely focused on math and science. New to Easthampton, my family is excited to fix up our nearby house and explore the area on bikes.

Education:
B.S., Biochemistry, B.S., Economics, University of Wisconsin; M.S., Chemical and Biological Engineering, Tufts University

Academic Interest:
I enjoy using and developing open-source software for generating educational materials and generating fractal patterns. For fractal generation, I’ve most deeply explored Lindenmayer systems driving turtle graphics and reaction-diffusion simulations on expanding domains. I also enjoy using math to design crochet patterns and for simple carpentry.

Fun fact:
To attend my sister’s wedding, a friend and I rode our loaded bicycles from Massachusetts to Oregon. Over 60 days, we traveled 4,000 miles, camped 40 nights, and met many kind people.
