Bio:
Since I Started at Williston in 2017, I have been teaching the Statistics classes plus an assortment of other math classes such as Geometry and Precalculus. I am a soccer and ultimate coach, in addition to being a dorm parent and living in Emily McFadon Vincent House. I live with my husband, who also teaches at Williston, and daughters, Linley and Colby.

Education:
B.A., Mercyhurst University, Mathematics, Concentration in Education and Minor in Psychology; M.A., Vanderbilt University, Teaching and Learning focusing on mathematics instruction

Academic Interest:
I believe that the best mathematics classrooms are student-centered places where students are given opportunities to wrestle with ideas, reflect on their thinking, and make meaning for themselves. I am equally attentive to the language we use with one another and how our words shape students’ confidence, curiosity, and approach to learning.

Fun fact:
I collect the crushed or elongated pennies/coins that you can get as souvenirs. I have at least 1,500 from places around the country and the world.
