Bio:
I became the Head of School in 2010, having worn many different hats in my educational journey, including leading college offices, serving as an academic dean, associate dean of faculty, and an associate head of school. Most significantly, Williston has been a school for our family. Being married to a mathematics and Latin teacher has meant that I have seen a steady flow of students over for extra help. Most importantly, both our children graduated from Williston, grounding them in lives of lifelong learning.

B.A., English Literature, Middlebury College; M.A., Literature, Bread Loaf School of English; Recipient of an NEH grant to study Children’s Literature; Participant in Klingenstein Summer Institute
Academic Interest:
While I have always enjoyed reading, my tastes have changed over time, and beyond staying current on educational trends, I enjoy works of nonfiction and fiction, favoring history and literature. Balancing that, I’m an avid bike rider, walker (especially in Acadia National Park), and enjoy gazing at beautiful landscapes where ever I can find them.
Fun fact:
During my college years, I led bicycle tours throughout the state of Vermont with Vermont Bicycle Touring (VBT).
