Health & Wellness Services
Bio:
Before coming to Williston, I dedicated my career to helping children, teens, and families navigate the difficult moments in life while building on their strengths and working toward their goals, regardless of who they are or where they come from. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Registered Nurse (RN), I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to my work, with specialized experience supporting individuals and families around ADHD, anxiety, and parenting.
Over the past five years, Williston has been a community that embraces mental health in all its many forms. I have loved being part of that culture and finding meaningful ways to integrate mental health education, awareness, and support throughout campus—from the dorms and proctors to student groups like Active Minds, and through the addition of therapy dogs to our mental health program. I am passionate about creating spaces where students feel supported, understood, and empowered to care for their own mental health and the well-being of those around them. I value creative, accessible approaches to wellness that help students feel connected, grounded, and supported throughout their Williston experience.
Education:
B.A., Macalester College; AD, Nursing, Hennepin County Community College; Masters in Social Work, University of Connecticut
Professional Interest:
My professional interest is in finding meaningful ways to make mental health support and education accessible to everyone, using language and approaches that are inclusive, relatable, and capable of creating positive change. Outside of work, I love pickleball and enjoy traveling with my husband to tournaments—where I’ve even been known to bring home a gold medal or two!
Fun fact:
To recharge after a busy day or week, I enjoy listening to audiobooks and taking long walks in the woods with our dogs.
