Science Department
Water Polo Head Coach
Bio:
I’m currently teaching Physics and AP Chemistry, and coaching water polo. Having spent more than 40 years in boarding school education both as a teacher and administrator, I am currently serving as the head of the Science department at Williston. I was also Head from 2011–2022. As a water polo coach, I’ve led girls’ teams to six NEPSAC championships: 2021–2023 at Williston and 2009–2011 at a former school. I have four children that are alumni of Williston, graduating in 2014, 2015, and 2023.
Education:
Bowdoin College, degree in Chemistry and Geology with a concentration in oceanography
Academic Interests:
I love all aspects of physical science–astronomy, meteorology, and more. I’m always curious! I also introduced Williston to the Alaska Endeavor summer expedition.
Fun facts
I love spending summers traveling with our camper or enjoying the Downeast coast of Maine. Off campus, you might find me at trivia night or signing in a local group as a tenor.
