TED CAINE ’04 PRESENTS:  “THE MANY FACES OF WILLISTON: A PORTRAIT RETROSPECTIVE BY ELIZABETH SOLLEY CAINE”
In 2003, Elizabeth Solley Caine held an art show in the Grubbs Gallery at Williston Northampton School consisting entirely of Williston student and staff portraits. Twenty years later, Elizabeth passed away after a yearslong battle with cancer in the spring of 2023. Back in the Grubbs Gallery, her son, Ted Caine ’04, is recreating her show as a retrospective for his 20-year reunion. From Elizabeth’s original artist statement: “I appreciate all these young people, their energy, intelligence, individuality, talent and beauty… to capture some of them, some part of them, on canvas…”

Since “Honey, I bought a vineyard in Argentina…” was the start of Conrad Johnson’s Wild Idea. Now he produces award-winning wines from his vineyard in the Uco Valley in Argentina. Growing four varietals (Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Viognier) allow him to produce a variety of wines including his Double Gold, Class-Champion Malbec (awarded by International Wine Competition at the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo)! Be one of the few to taste these lovely, limited-production wines with Conrad and learn what can be accomplished when you let your passion make your heart smile!
