Reunion Giving

Opportunities to learn and grow. Relationships that have lasted a lifetime. You found your place here at Williston and your class gift at reunion is a powerful way for you to honor this place and the people who inspired you. During your reunion year, everyone is asked to participate in making a gift through the Williston Northampton Fund. Typically, alumni will stretch to make a larger gift in their reunion year, making Williston Northampton a top priority in their philanthropic plans. Thank you for honoring your experience and legacy with a gift in celebration of your Reunion!

50th Reunion Class Giving

All gifts to Williston Northampton School count toward your 50th Reunion Gift, but gifts to the Williston Northampton Fund provide the cornerstone for your Class Gift. Gifts toward endowment, as well as capital and planned gifts, documented bequest intentions, and the designation of retirement assets are acknowledged in the 50th Reunion Class total*. In addition, all cash gifts received in your reunion years as well as any amount pledged for the four years following will be acknowledged in the 50th Reunion Class gift total.

Alumni celebrating their 50th Reunion are also encouraged to explore planned giving vehicles.

* Bequest intentions and the designation of retirement plan assets will be counted as part of the 50th Reunion Gift total. Deferred gifts will be counted and credited, per School gift acceptance and crediting policies, on the date the donor signs the appropriate deferred gift agreement and provides appropriate documentation for the deferred gift commitment. The execution by the donor of an “estate gift intention form” is the preferred method of confirming the donor’s commitment. Alumni who document a bequest intention prior to or during the 50th reunion year will be recognized in the school’s Elm Tree Society.

The Class of 1973 – 50th Reunion Gift

The Class of 1973 is seeking to raise $73,000 from 73% of the class (gifts received from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023).

Your 50th Reunion (June 9-11, 2023) provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the impact of Williston on your life. Williston presented you with opportunities to learn and grow, to find your place in the world, and to start relationships that have stood the test of time.

Your reunion gift is a powerful way for you to be involved in the life of the school today and guarantee that the students of tomorrow will be able to enjoy the same transformative experience that has added so much to your life. During the Class of 1973’s 50th Reunion year, everyone is asked to participate and make a stretch gift. Alumni traditionally double or even triple their annual level of support. All gifts count toward Williston Builds: The Campaign for Our Community.

All gifts to the Williston Northampton Fund count toward the 50th Reunion gift. Classmates who make a leadership gift of $1,841 or more to the Williston Northampton Fund are recognized as members of The 1841 Society. If the 1841 Society is beyond your ability, please remember the importance of the 73% participation rate.

Additionally, for those who are so inclined, gifts toward endowment, capital, and planned gifts will also be counted in Williston Builds: The Campaign for Our Community. Individuals who wish to leave a generous legacy that will support Williston Northampton School beyond their lifetimes are recognized as members of the Elm Tree Society. Documented bequest intentions will be counted in the campaign as well.
