- My Williston
I got my first print byline when I was in grade school, writing for the Yonkers, NY, Pennysaver for a 4-H project. In high school and college I collected stories for newspapers and radio, and then went to grad school for journalism, interning at the now-defunct New York Newsday where I covered Brooklyn neighborhoods.
After graduation, I worked at publications in New York City, the Bay Area, and at the Gazette here in the Pioneer Valley before starting a family and switching gears. Following the birth of my second son, I started working at Northfield Mount Hermon School in the communications office. My career took a twist after I got a second master’s degree, this time in sustainably landscape planning and design. I then worked in a planning office, and for a family farm advocacy group. Coming full circle, I started in Williston’s communications office in 2016. Here, I manage social media, write our blogs and press releases, craft stories for our award-winning alumni magazine, and coordinate photography.
I live in Deerfield with my husband, Dave, and our three children.
Fun fact: My second car was an orange 1979 International Scout with a removable white hardtop.
