Music presents a unique opportunity to create community and experience the excitement of self-discovery. Students who wish to be involved in music at Williston have many options, in both choral and instrumental music. Students from a wide variety of musical backgrounds participate.

Instrumentalists may play in large or small ensembles, take private lessons, or play informally with friends. All musicians are encouraged to perform at recitals, and are often invited to play at school events and celebrations.

Singers may be involved with one of our three choral ensembles on campus: Caterwaulers Male Concert Chorus, Widdigers Female Concert Chorus, and the Teller Chorus (mixed chorus). The groups perform a wide variety of choral repertoire including classical, world, folk, gospel, popular, a capella, and musical theater at special events and concerts throughout the year.

As with all classes in the Fine & Performing Arts department, students may take courses for credit and/or participate in extracurricular opportunities led by dedicated and enthusiastic teachers.
