Our students have helped at local homeless shelters and have worked with Habitat For Humanity; they have tutored children in the Easthampton schools and visited the elderly, cleaned up a local park, and raised money for national and international causes.
Most recently, students have prepared food for Ronald McDonald House and have visited children who are facing serious illnesses there. They sold Zuzzy's Cookie Dough to raise money for Relay for Life, and have worked at Riverside Industries. They also organized a local blanket drive that collected over 150 blankets, which were then distributed throughout various homeless shelters in the Pioneer Valley. Throughout the year, students are involved in projects large and small that give back to the community: doing yard work for local seniors, hosting regular blood drives at the school, and volunteering at regional Special Olympics events. Athletes donated their time to read to young children in the Easthampton schools or help them learn to play baseball and swim.
In addition to the community service club, other campus projects include: Daffodil Days, Pink in the Rink, a fundraiser for the Purple Project, and canned food drives during the holidays. There are always opportunities to make a difference at Williston.
