Williston Northampton is grateful for the generosity of alumni, families, and friends who support the school in a variety of ways: unrestricted annual gifts to the Annual Fund and the Parents' Fund to provide for the school’s immediate needs, capital gifts to support long-term priorities, and planned gifts to ensure the school’s future.

Every gift, no matter the size or the type, provides vital support to the school and its mission. Thank you for your thoughtful philanthropy and for making a difference in the life of the Williston Northampton School, its faculty, and its students.

Annual Fund

Every year, Williston relies on alumni, faculty and staff, and friends to make their gifts to the Annual Fund, which supports the core of the school’s educational experience. Collectively, those gifts help offset the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating students, and support financial aid. Annual Fund contributions also enhance programming to ensure the quality of faculty teaching; fund extracurricular activities that will inspire Williston’s students; and help support the campus and its facilities.

Parents' Fund

Williston welcomes parents and families of students as part of the school community. The Parents' Fund combines with the Annual Fund to provide a vital source of unrestricted income that the school uses to meet immediate needs, supporting the educational experience of current students.

Capital Giving

Beyond the operational funds provided through annual giving, capital gifts are used to support and enhance all aspects of the school, including teaching funds, scholarships, and campus facilities and improvements. Endowed funds ensure that money is available in perpetuity for the school. Every year, a percentage of the accrued interest from endowed funds is used to support established programs and new initiatives, and the remainder is reinvested to grow with the principal. Endowed funds may be designated to support faculty support, campus facilities, and financial aid. They also may remain unrestricted, providing Williston with the flexibility to direct resources to areas of greatest need. Donors can add to existing funds or create new naming opportunities (minimum gift levels required).

Gift Planning

From charitable gift annuities to charitable remainder trusts to inclusion in estate plans, the Williston community provides for the future health of the school. Gift planning allows donors to provide for Williston while making sound financial plans for themselves and their families.
