Welcome to the College Counseling Office
Through a highly individualized program, The Williston Northampton School's college counseling staff guides juniors and seniors through all facets of the college admissions process. Our ultimate aim is to encourage each student to explore colleges that will foster his or her unique talents and goals.
To achieve this end, the college counseling staff meets individually with juniors and seniors throughout the college admissions process. We also sponsor a variety of workshops and presentations designed to enhance each student’s search. Furthermore, Williston hosts over 100 college representatives on campus each fall. These representatives meet with prospective students, and also provide an opportunity for the college counseling staff to cultivate professional relationships with college admissions offices.
The college counseling staff also encourages parents to maintain contact with their student's counselor throughout the college admissions process. This coordinated effort among counselors, students and their families helps our seniors find the school that best matches their talents, interests and aspirations.
Every year, juniors visit one of the Five Colleges for a tour and informational session as part of their introduction to the college admission process. Below, watch a video of juniors who toured Mount Holyoke and Amherst Colleges and talk about the college search process.
