The Williston Northampton School Archives

The Old Campus on Main Street, 1856.The Archives actively collect and preserve source materials for the documentation and study of all aspects of the school's history, from the founding of our parent institutions, Williston Seminary (1841) and Northampton School for Girls (1924), to the present day. The Archives are valuable not only as a repository of documents and memorabilia, but as a teaching resource. They are a means through which our students can come to appreciate the values and traditions which have shaped the school we know today.

The Williston Northampton School has a long and rich history full of tradition, innovation, and many splendid characters.  On these pages you will find a myriad of Williston stories which surfaced through the examination of the school's archives.

The Archives collects school documents and memorabilia of all kinds and is especially interested in student journals and letters, academic work, photographs, and much more. We'd also like to fill gaps in certain school publications, notably Northampton School yearbooks for 1934 and 1956, many issues of the Northampton Annual Catalogue, Pegasus, and The Willistonian. Don't let these important pieces of our history be lost to future generations! If you have material you would like to share, or stories to tell, please contact Archivist Richard Teller '70 at (413) 529-3288.
