Personal Computers at Williston
Students are not required to bring computers; we have several labs which are available for student use. We do allow students to bring their own computer (MAC or PC) and provide connectivity in each dorm room. We also provide wireless connectivity in the Reed Campus Center and will be expanding our wireless coverage in the near future.
For International Students
We recommend bringing a computer whose operating system either is in English or has the ability to switch to English menus. We also strongly recommend arriving with a computer that has a warranty and can be serviced within the United States.
Support
Technical support from the Technology team is provided for network access only; that is for network set-up and maintaining connectivity between the student’s room and the network. Students may email us at support@williston.com or stop by and visit us on the ground floor of Memorial Dorm for help with technical support questions.
Computer Purchase Recommendation
If you are in the process of purchasing a computer, we encourage you to visit the same website the school uses for all of our technology purchases. You can purchase both desktops and laptops through the site. We strongly recommend that you purchase a laptop, which offers more flexibility. The website is http://www.govconnection.com/wns.
